"Yems... Yems, my Yem Yems. I still have your mail at my house and I was supposed to give it to you but instead I find myself writing this tribute. I am not supposed to be writing this, none of us are. Undoubtedly the strongest person I know and never wanted the credit for it. Words are escaping me probably because not a single one can cover the magnitude of what you meant to me. Your presence and existence have been so pivotal in my life that, your words of reason and wisdom will forever ring in my ears. You loved me through my madness, through my sanity and everything in between. You loved me without judgment, my God how blessed I am to have experienced you in this realm. What brings me solace is that you received what you prayed for. A loving and phenomenal God fearing husband and a healthy amazing child. You recited in your wedding vows that Edy showed up just as you thought perhaps it wouldn't happen for you and it did! All of it!
This is painful. Very painful, but one thing I know for sure is you never wanted anyone's sympathy. That contagious laugh of yours would shed light to the darkest of days. You gave so much in all you did; gave to your career, your friendships, to your cousins, siblings, and parents. Edikan Jr our miracle baby will be so proud to know that he was birthed by a Legend.
